The Hong Kong Federation of Design and Creative Industries (FHKDCI), formerly known as The Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations (FHKDA) and was founded in 2000. The Federation was founded by FOUR major professional design associations, namely Chartered Society of Designers (CSD, HK), Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA), Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA), and Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association (HKFDA) for the incorporation of The Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC). The Federation has acted as a platform for the discussion of design, education, cultural policy and infrastructure development, providing room for expression of ideas and opinions from the industry to the government.
